Subject: Power bucket seat drive IP: Logged
Message: The right front right angle gear box casting broke on my 98 Dakota power seat. Dodge dealer says the replacement lower mechanism is $700. There must be a better way to replace this $20 item. Yes, I have removed it and can replace it with a new part--if I can find it.

Message: Thanks, but I haven't found a Dakota in a junk yard even with the assistance of a "junk" dealer.

Message: Here is a closed auction on ebay but this guy says he's a Chrysler tech who fixes these seat tracks. You might try contacting him to see if he has any others or if you could pay him to fix yours.
Good luck.
