Well I've decided to go with the Gibson single swept system for my '01 qc. thanks to all for the varying opinions and input. Now I'm looking for the killer deal. JC Whitney seems good, but they don't have the stainless. Truckperformance has 'em, but scared of them. The best price I've seen for regular system is about $290 shipping included, and $430 stainless, plus shipping.
Who has the smokin' deal??

JC Whitney will order them for you on a special order. Just last week I ordered the stainless steel (model 616507) catback system for $410.00. Just ask for their technical staff.......(note: the Alumn. system sells for 279.95. The prices at JC Whitney were the lowest that I could find)

Well, i ordered it from truckperformance.com and they shipped it out on a friday, and i got it on a tuesday. So im really impressed with them, i think just for kicks im gonna order the Jet Stage II module some time, see how fast they can send that. :)

Don't know about the single swept side cat backs... But at least on the dual rear exit the $280 for the system does NOT include your tips.. An additional $40 per tip. Just a heads up about the Gibsons.

Glen, Per a call to Gibson today, your choice is the best for performance...back pressure issues, etc. I've been too busy to order mine (I'm a CPA, and life has been hectic). Once you get yours setup, please let me know how it sounds,performs. Have the same motor, trans, year, etc as you, so perfect for comparison. Also, why stainless, as it is lifetime warranty either way? Had stainless on my last truck, but wonder if needed this time.

They've got it at 279.95, but shipping isn't stated, and they are in Calif. (sales tax for me). Tried to get to their shipping terms, but the link for terms wouldn't work. JC and Summit are still the cheapest overall that I've found, they don't charge shipping, and are out of state.

I just finished up my 01 4.7 used a Flowmaster
Delta-flo 40 out the back duals also installed
a Z tube runs and sounds sweet

This is my first Mod. I am also going to be putting headers and a performance cat later on. This is first of many ideas I have and this forum has been a great help. Thanks alot for all of the input. I am also installing fender flares and have already installed a sun roof and spray on liner.

I have the Gibson Dual Cat Back exhaust system installed and am very happy with it. It has increased my HP and MPG. It has Dramatically changed the sound and look of my Dakota. It sounds much loader than the V8s I have heard.
Very Happy glad I did it...
