Yes Todd; we are having a cold winter in many parts of the country. Global warming is a phenomenon related to science; not liberals though. It is a gradual warming trend which is related to average temperatures, and does not preclude weather extremes. In fact, it can lead to more extreme temperatures and storms, as the delicate balance of nature is disturbed. Here in the Northeast, we have already seen its effect on the maple sugar industry. For some time now, there has been a definite trend to an earlier and shorter sugaring season. This has proven to apply to all in the industry, regardless of their individual politics.

So fellas,
I own a 2004 Dakota SXT quad cab with a 4.7 and moved to NH from GA spring 2008. I never had a problem and never heard of or saw sludge until about 2 weeks ago. I use a synthetic now, but it is not Amsoil or Mobil 1. Is this a cure that seems to still be helping? BTW, I was just getting ready to replace the head gaskets until I found this site. Thus far you have saved me a bunch of $$$

The planet has been warming sense the last ice age. The ocean levels have been rising sense the last ice age (over 250 feet). Libs rant that its man made is a power play, not science. But you hear what you want to hear. The data shows that the temps on mars and venis also when up (Hotter sun?). but libs turned their back on that. We wre told that the 3 hottest years where in the 1990,s. Lie! They were in the 1930,s. We were 4 degrees warmer (deadly according to libs.)during the renaissance, the best 400years in mans history. The american southwest was green and the natives grew corn in what is now desert. the vikings could cross the atlantic with ease.I can go on but you think the planet is static and its not. Can,t make a blind old man see.

It's obvious to see why you were afraid to use your usual screen name with that nonsensical rant. I'd like to know where you got those ideas from - starting with your false claim that I believe the planet is static. I have never said anything like that. I am just as aware of the natural changes the planet can go through as those influenced by our industrial presence. One does not preclude the other. If you look into it, you will find the anecdotal evidence I gave about the maple sugar industry is accurate. The general consensus by the scientific community is that much of the climatic change we have been experiencing lately is man made. This is from people, who unlike you, are not afraid to use their names. I care nothing about the scientists' politics - don't get the wrong idea that I am talking about politicians.

Start with the national geographic program "the little ice age". Man made global warming is a political tool for research money for the scientists and a power grab by the goverment. But I know that you will not view that program ,or listen to the hundreds of climate scientists that say its a nature cycle. You are stuck with one view.

Kow-your life is but a microsecond to the planet. Seeing changes in your life time is not proof. Consensus is not science, its just consensus. There are just ase many climate scientist that say its not man make. You find comfort in going with the herd. "Silent spring" was a case of consensus. Many scientist said that the presents of DDT was evidence that it was the cause of thin bird eggs and must be band.As a resulte- many people died in africa because of a large increase in malaria. Some 25 years later we find that it was a virus cousing the thin egg shells and that DDT was only present! So- if you are NOT a herd cow, Read what the other side climit scientists have to say before you go MOO.

Actually, the government would like to pretend this isn't happening. I have heard what both sides have to say; and believe this is real. I understand that consensus should not be confused with real science. But those who deny this have their own agendas - I hope you are not blind to that ? You still have not veiwed the program Little Ice Age. You still have not researched the work of scientists that say its a natural cycle. How would you know what I have or haven't seen ? You seem to be making impossible judgements about me, showing that it is you, posting anonomously, who may not have the facts you need. I try to make informed decisions, by balancing a number of different sources - not all of whom may be in agreement. I don't get all my facts from similar sources, or tv shows. So take a good look in the mirror; it just might be an anonomous poster who more closely resembles a herd animal.
