 Subject: Paint code PG7???

This is the paint code for the primary(greenish) paint of my truck. this is not Hunter Green PG4 or Forest Green Pearl PG8 and I can't find out what it is. I can't even find another truck with the same color. Any suggestions?

Not sure if this helps, but have you checked:
http://www.paintscratch.com/
If you punch in your year/model, it shows the paint codes for many colors. It shows a GG7, and does say that some Mopar codes vary on the first letter from vehicle to vehicle.
GG7 is listed as "Dark Forest Green Metallic Clearcoat". If that sounds close, that might be likely. Otherwise, don't know...maybe someone else can help.

Thanks guys. Bill it would probably help if I kept my truck around BSU more so you might actually see it in person. I keep it at home usually. But like I said it's not the same color as basically every other truck I've seen both GenIIs and GenIIIs. Does anyone know if there's somewhere that I can look into the # of these made?

I figured you were probably home since I didn't see you on AIM Zach. But looking at your pics, your seems to be a unique setup with the paint. Not sure where you could look for production numbers, probably could find it on the internet somewhere if you had a whole bunch of time to kill.

My truck is a bit unusual being a Green with Tan combo but living in a Mopar town I see quite a bit of them. But The green is always lighter on other trucks. I have also been told that my truck has some blue and black in it. I might find some free time but not soon probably.

Hey Zach, I got to thinking, there is a Dupont Automotive paint store here in Muncie that you may want to check out some time. If you know where the Fazoli's is on 332, it is right across the street. I have been thinking about going in there to see about getting supplies to pain my mud flaps. Just a thought, but they may have paint codes for you.

Zach, I checked my Dupont color chips for 92 Dodge/Jeep colors and found the GG7/DT7965 which is Dk. Forest Green Met B/C (base coat clear coat). The Dupont # is B8831. Hope this helps.

I've got a similar problem - looking for the paint code on my 98 'Kota. I've also got a Dark Green truck, but WHICH dark Green, there are several that look very similar. Where do I find the paint code? I can't find a fender tag (like the Mopars of old), and the paper tag in the glovebox only says I have the Sport package, with no paint code.
98 Dakota Sport CC, 5.2L, Borla headers/catback, Shaker Hood w/K&N, Pistol Grip shifter, and more coming....

97-03 Dakotas have a tag in the driver's side door jam with the paint code listed.
The first digit of a Dodge paint code is the year (really doesn't mean anything as far as paint goes), the last two digits is the color itself. ABC is the same as BBC is the same as CCC when color matching.
