Subject: draining fuel tank IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 R/T and I need to drain the tank. How can I accoplish this?

Message: Remove, turn up side down. No drain plug.

Message: try to unhook the fuel line and turn on the key so the fuel pump ill just pump it out

Message: that could get messy if your not VERY careful. why not just keep a 5 gal jug of gas in the back and drive it until your on fumes? Been there done that (fixing my gas gauge).

Message: You have to remove the tank to get all the gas out. When you run out of gas there will be some left in the tank below the pickup.
I assume you have trash in the tank. If you have water add some denatured alchohol. That will suspend the water and you can burn it out. I wish they put drains on new vehichles like they used to.
