I have a 2000 R/T and I need to drain the tank. How can I accoplish this?

Remove, turn up side down. No drain plug.

4.7 HO, CW style

try to unhook the fuel line and turn on the key so the fuel pump ill just pump it out

that could get messy if your not VERY careful. why not just keep a 5 gal jug of gas in the back and drive it until your on fumes? Been there done that (fixing my gas gauge).

You have to remove the tank to get all the gas out. When you run out of gas there will be some left in the tank below the pickup.
I assume you have trash in the tank. If you have water add some denatured alchohol. That will suspend the water and you can burn it out. I wish they put drains on new vehichles like they used to.
