I was looking for the "Indiglo" gauge-face for my new 2001, and I noticed that all the "Indiglos" (and all the white-faces, for that matter) have tachs that read to 6,000 RPM. I still haven't got my truck from the dealer yet (tomorrow, though), but in the Dodge brochure, the photos of the dash indicate a 7,000 RPM tach - and no redline, either. Does anyone know if there's different gauge-faces for different engines? Anyone with a 2001 4.7.... 6,000 or 7,000??

The 4.7 is 7000 rpm with no redline not because the engine can do that but because the revlimiter. You have to get a face with the same rpm or you will have the needle reading the wrong number. it wont be calabrated. Just order a face for you truck.

Thanks, but the point was.... ALL the currently available faces that I've seen read only to 6,000. If anyone knows where to buy Indiglows that read to 7,000, please let me (us) know!!

the gauges you see are for the 97-2000 dakota's. (which have a 6000 rpm limit). the 01' indeglow's are not out yet. probably will be a while.
