hey just wondering if i should remove the cat or put a high flow cat on instead, will the high flow cat make it louder then the standard cat?and will it be a big diff b/t that and no cat?which high flow cat should i go with if i do?

I wouldn't mess with it until you get some headers. Then go with 3" pipe all the way and a single Carsound or Catco cat with your choice of muffler. It really wakes up the 01+ R/Ts with that mode. The pre-cats are the biggest restriction, removing your third cat wouldn't make enough of an improvement to worry about now.

I put headers on my truck, and while I was at it I took off the cat and replaced it with a high flow mesa header 3" in and out to a 3" 1n dual out 2.25 flowmaster, everything works perfectly but you will need to reset your PCM, (go to speedtweaks.com for info), there is a downside though your truck will REALLY be loud and you WILL be noticed, it is even loud when the windows are up, I like mine because the would be competition thinks twice before I hand them their a$$, by the way my truck is a 99 RT RC, hope this info helps
