I did this last night and I did notice a little better response (.608 modded to .705) but when I first start it after it has been sitting for a while it has a real bad hesitation off idle. (it bogs for a split second) and then the R's go up (when I snap the throttle)
I have done
Home brew intake
dual exhaust
3923 auto lights
Now it didn't seem to do this until recently maybe 2 weeks. I also cleaned the throttle body, and the IAC and seat, and still no improvement.
btw... is .7v the voltage for all cars?

There is a flash to fix this but you will get the ping flash with it :( so I refuse to do it. Mine hesitates as well.

the ping flash is called the FLASH of DEATH. the flash also retards the timing so you can run sh**ty gas and have no detonation, id recommend not getting it flash, just run good gas or come up with your own mix of fuel.

If you get the flash from DC then expect 3 MPG less.

at work for me, we dont flash a pcm unless there is a specific problem with a vehicle. if they are going to flash it, find out what they are doing the flash for and if it invloves the same programming as the spark knock

Any update for the 4.7 at the moment involes the ping flash if it didn't mine would be updated. I just tried about 2 weeks ago.

CW, can I get the old flash for my 2002 to get back some mpg and get rid of the spark retard? Otherwise, I will just get a custom flash done and pay the $$.

i have a 92' dak w/a crate 360 with stock 318 ignition. can do the tps mod as well? i know mine has a tps and it does have trouble, it sometimes dies on me in high heat weather. help me out
