Message: I've used RainEx which I think is the same thing. Basically it's just a really slippery wax for glass. Rain just beads up and runs off -fast. I like it on all the windows except the windshield. It works ok on the windshield until you try to use your wipers - then it looks like you've got oil on the glass.
Cheers!

Message: aquapel is what airlines use on there windows ... i have talked to the guy that did the tint on my truck and he said that rain-x only lasts a couple of days(which is mostly true) they wont use anything other then aquapel and you can have it applied(since its not sold as a do it yourself kit)and it lasts for 6 months to 18 months... i would have to say that is nothing like rain-x ... maybe its just me but i could never get rain-x to work like I think it should have

Message: I would ask to see someone's car that has had it applied. 6-8 months is an awful long time to put up with something that might possibly turn out crappy like rain X. I personaly use Mothers chrome polish. I am kind of interested in what your talking about though.

Message: when i talked to the tinter he said that he cant stand rain-x said that it basically the worst product for that ... also that aquapel is ok to use your wipers(unlike rain-x) and that rain beads up jumps off your windsheild or side windows (whereever you put it on) i have been to many websites that sell this and the price is 30.00 for the windsheild or all the windows i dont really know it wasnt very specific.. but all these installers for aquapel are in other states ... not here in washington state where WE NEED it the MOST... if you would like me to post some links for more info i will gladly post them.. also you can doo a search on google.com for Aquapel and it will return some links.. BEWARE-->Aquapel is also a brand name for mens spandex.... lesley might enjoy that but i didnt

Message: I personally use Rain-X I've only had to apply it twice and I've had the truck for almost 5 yrs.
I put a treatment on when I got the truck and had to re-treat it when I replaced the windshield.
I'll never own a car without it! Works great here in MN for the snow and ice!

Message: I just use the windshield solution that has some rain-x in it works rather well, and I get a new application whenever I clean the windshield. No muss no fuss. get it at wal-mart cheap!
