I picked up my 2003 QC on Monday (loving every inch of it!!) and we ordered the Infinity sound system. The web sites say that you get 8 speakers but we can only find 6...tweeters on the front doors by the side mirrors (2), woofers on each door (4). Where are the other two?? I've tried adjusting the balance and fade in order to locate two more but can't hear them.

Thanks for your help.

I have the system on my 02 also, it's pretty nice compared to regular stock stuff

Thanks for the info. Does that mean that there are two speakers in either the front door woofers or rear door woofers? If so is it a tweater and a woofer or mid range and woofer?

I have Infinity 6-speaker sound in my 2000. This setup didn't sound the great to me. (cheap paper stock speakers) I installed very expensive focals in mine.

You should check-out the CUSTOM AUDIO sub-catagory in the open forum section of this site. There are many audio types that did make significant changes (woofers and tweeters and amps, Oh' my) to their stock system.

There are 8 speakers, the speakers in your front doors are called Separates or Components, and they have a crossover between them. The other two are called Coaxial speakers, there are two speakers mounted to a single pole, a mid-range and a tweeter. They are located in your back sidewalls.
As good as that infinity system may sound at mid level volume, it really loses its touch at high volume. I had that in my 01 dak as well and ended up pulling the entire thing for a custom stereo. But I work in car stereo so that may explain something, lol. ;)
hope this helps.

Jason (or anyone else with some audio knowledge)
I just had the infinity CD, amp, and 6 1/2" 2-way reference speakers installed in the front doors. I picked up all of these things over time from ebay, and I know next to nothing about audio. I also bought (really cheap) some 32 Kappa 3 1/2" speakers, but apparently I don't need them since the front ones are components? I'd like to upgrade the rear speakers now. Should I get another set of reference speakers, or what do you guys recommend (keeping in mind that my wallet is so empty that it echooooooooooooes.)
Thanks ;)
