In all reality it should be about dead even. The 4.7 may have a little edge due to about 70 lbs difference in the engine weight. The difference would be if the 4.7L has had any mods done yet.

Being a 5.2L fan myself I'd like to say the it would win. But I think the 4.7L has a better tranny behind it and would win by a little. Still very close race though.

I was in a race,like that. I have a 5.2 CC and it was up agenst a 01 i think 4.7 cc. It was even off the line. then he got me. it was a good run. So from experance it should be even or close.
Oh yea other than the 70lbswith engen, i have a system, subs, and everything else 3 amps. so i have a cuple more lbs to carry
