Subject: IAT curve (for those interested) IP: Logged
Message: Did some testing on the IAT sensor (just a simple thermocouple) and here's what I found:
temp *C -- 0 ___ 15 ___ 20 ___ 22 ___ 30 ___ 40 ___ 50
temp *F -- 32 __ 59 ___ 68 ___ 72 ___ 86 ___ 104 __ 122
kohms ---- 21 __ 14.6 _ 12.5 _ 11.3 __ 7.6 ___ 4.3 __ 2.8
(hopefully my little table turns out good)
That's what I found with mine .. I'm not sure how much it will vary between sensors though (not much I imagine).
Just thought it might be interesting to some

Message: Should I expect a loss in MPG with a relocated IAT sensor? Do I need to reset my MP computer?

Message: There will be a loss because the trick causes the pcm to enrichen the air-fuel mixture. Not a big hit though. It'll help the pcm adapt quicker to the trick if you reset it. HTH.
