I installed my intake today, took a good 10 mins to take the stock box out and replace with new aluminum intake. I dont know about the rest of u 4.7L guys who installed intakes and didnt get any noticeable gains, but it definitely feels like the engine breathes better at around the 2900 and up range. Also, i have never heard an intake sucking sound like the way mine sounds. Its almost like the sound of a blow off valve, hard to explain, but thats what it sounds like. Its an odd sound, but its a nice sound. I only drove it around town so i havent noticed if i get any better gas mileage. Ill have pictures up soon.

I would like to thank Steve (4.7onNos) for making the intake for me at a great price.

Here's the home brew intake I made and use, it sounded awesome.... well until I got my dual exhaust hehe. Now the only way I can hear it is I snap the throttle at like a 35mph cruise. I did notice a little more low end though.

Cold air setup

What does your's look like steve? I've currently got a 360intakez. But the tube is a 3" and I'd like to upgrade to 3.5" or 4".

oh,anything more than a 3" probably will not be better, unless you have a supercharger or turbo.

I have a 68mm fastman TB. I may upgrade to a 71mm in the future just for sh!ts and giggles. I don't think my 3" is providing the air I need. I'm currently in the process of opening up my exhaust some. I'll have my 2.5" carsound cat put on this week. Then I just have to figure out what I want to do after that.

My point is that I want to make the most out of my system. I don't like how the 360intakez rubs on the a/c lines and how the filter runs into the cruise control cable. Even if I could find a decent tube design I would be satisfied with that. Then I could at least buy the filter style that I want. Meaning either K&N or S&B.

after the intake, I did my exhaust:

eliminated the 3rd cat, then out to a single/dual flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber, then ran that out to a set of duals with 3 1/2 tips. Mine now pulls great even up to 6,000. Btw.... I have to shift manually to get ta 6,000 next move will be the HO cams and possibly a 71mm fastman TB. But at the same time, I'm trying to save up and be ready for a Hemi dakota 4x4 (that's if they make it)
