The turbo PT cruisers are not that fast. Although I have only driven the auto model.

2001 4.7 5sp 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm TB, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" Z-tube, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat, Electric fan Convertion, HO cams, Robert shaw 180 therm, HO intake manifold.

Are they AWD? I had heard that the convertable model, or maybe it was a later model that they havent released yet, was supposed to be AWD but that was just here-say I guess.

no i seen the adver for the convertable as well..
if its turbo its gonna be stick.. auto sucks too much.. maybe the stick is faster..

The dealer up here has a couple of turbo PT's one is a stick and the other an automatic. There are no AWD Chrysler or Dodge cars currently available, only minivans trucks and suvs. I bet the manual turbo PTs are respectibly fast, probably the fastest Chrysler made. The new SRT neon will have similar power but less weight and should pretty easilly handle any stock Dakotas, all for under $20000 no less!
