Cool Lesley. I submited my truck but its not up yet. its cool to see you ride online. This company in Philly used my truck in his logo for his website. check it out at http://www.rapcoauto.com its the graphite one on the left. Its an old pic but its still cool

Does anyone know what the equivalent size of those 265/40R17 in a 16" size would be? Would it be about 265/50R16?

No, it's not lowered. It was in the plans, but I ran out of
$$$. Once I get the motor in, I will probably beef up the
front end with some R/T coils, that will lower it one inch,
also those tires are so low profile, it rides much lower
than when I put the stock wheels back on.

Thanks...I was wondering bacause I was possibly going to get some 265/50R16 BFG's for some 16x8 rims I have sittin around. Right now I have 235/65R15's. Damn things give me very little traction. Especially when its wet. I was affraid that tires that low would look funny but your ride height looks just fine.

I was afraid they would look funny too. The rims are so
wide, I had to go with a tire that low in order to get turn
clearance. They handle great, but grab at any bump or
dent in the road. Also, they can hydroplane when wet,
and it's impossible to take off from a light without
spinning, so they aren't much fun during the rain.

For the 16x8" rims try using either the Toyo Proxes 275/60-16 or the Pirelli 275/60-16. They are high performance tires, plenty wide, and look darn good. V rated (150 MPH)
