Don't know if anyone has seen the new 2003 accessory catalog, there is a DVD based Navigation System built into the AM/FM/CD/Satellite radio. The radio model is RB1 don't know the price but sure it is mega $$$$'s.

Is this the Mopar accessory catalog? Wouldn't mind taking a look at that, but Mopar hasn't updated to the 2003 catalog on their website yet. Probably another month or two.

I scanned and sent it to you, the article is not very large, you may have a little trouble reading it.

You can read a little more about it here:

http://www.wjjeeps.com/nav.htm

Looks like it's a little less expensive than the previous CD based model from Mopar. The in-dash version is made by Alpine. Downside; you can't play CD's while using the nav system as the DVD occupies the tray. You'd have to use radio or attach a changer.

Says it will fit Daks, and I've got to get one of these.

First time I saw a price when I inquired at the dealer it was too new and they had no info, would love to have one, wonder if it is totally self contained.
Something I have always wondered with the DVD nav systems, cam you pop a movie dvd in there and play it ?

The cost is $1595 but unfortunately the RB1 has been pulled from the market.

It's pulled from the market? If you go to dodge.com there's a link right off the home page to select accessories for the 03 Ram. The RB1 is one of the accessories listed.

The radio is still going to be made! It will be made at my plant. I have not had time to play with the demo but it does look cool.

The face plate is the same oval shape. You should be able to just swap. Connectors maybe a totaly different story.

Still going to be made! Very cool... I'd be interested to know how it works if you get a chance to play with a demo. If it gets good reviews, I think I'll have to start putting away some payola and treat myself to a little technology. It's about time we compete w/ those Asian manufacturers...

They are in the new accessories catalog at your Dodge Dealer, radio is sweet looking, huge display and you still get full radio, changer capabilities. I would like to put one of these in the wives Dak, but even at around $1300 discounted, it's steep enough to make me hold off until the price either comes down or they start to pop-up on Ebay:) Not to mention, that will mostly pay for the new Rancho lift when it comes out next month that I really want.

Flowmaster cat back w/15 inch chrome tip, Volant Intake, Poweraid TB Spacer, Splitfire Plugs, full synthetic fluids
3 inch body/1.5 inch Block Lift, 305 70-16 X-Terrains on AR Terons, Pro Comp ES9000's
Grizzly double/single rollbar with (6) Hella's, Manik Nerfs, Line-X, Hard Work & $$$$$$$$$$
