Subject: bigger wheels and tires IP: Logged
Message: i would like to get taller/wider wheels and tires for my dakota. What can i do if i want to do this without lifting the suspension or body. Or if i have to do one of these which one, how much, and why. Which do you guys have and reccomend, what should i do and what shouldnt i do. Thanks a lot guys.

I assume that the problem is only at the front?
If the tires you want are just rubbing you can install a small body lift. I would only use this for a small amount because anymore looks ugly. I would use this first if you only need a little raise because it is the cheapest. Other reasons are that it doesn't adversely affect the suspension geometry and ride quality. You could also trim the fenders and install bushwacker flares. You could get slightly taller and stiffer springs and shocks without affecting the suspension geometry. If you need more height you'll have to get a lift kit.
