Subject: backspacing on rims and issue? IP: Logged
Message: I like the american racing thruster rims that are 17's but I don't want 8" wide cuz i already have that, I want wider. I was thinking I could get the 17x8's in the front and 17x 9.5's in the back. The 8" wides have a backspacing of 5.5 and the 9.5" have a 7 inch backspacing. Will these mount relatively flush with each other? I want wider in the back so I can have a higher profile all around and so I can get better traction.

Message: Its better to go with the same size all around. I have American Eagle 213s; 17 x 9.5 with Nitto 275/50-17 on all corners with a Hotchkis 2/3 lowering kit. -no rubbing problems at all in front (not sure of back spacing tho)
(I know, I need to get pics posted)
