 Subject: A couple of questions

First, I have a '90 Dakota with 170K miles, 3.9l, 5-speed. I've had this truck for the last five years. After the first few months a minor problem with the tach. It is kinda random as soon as the engine is started. I've never figured out this problem. Second and more importantly, recently I've noticed a distinct loss of power in accelerating or climbing hills on the ride home. It was tuned up last year after it failed smog. I'm suspecting the catalytic convertor. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
