 Subject: 98 Auto Trans Question

Hi, I have a 98 Dakota Sport 4X4 with 318 and auto transmission. It has 160,000 km (99,420 miles). When I am driving on the hi way the transmission seems to slip out of overdrive. The rpm goes up about 500 to 600 for a couple of seconds then back down. (from 2,000 to 2,600). This used to only happen when I let off the throttle but now it is happening more often. Sometimes it happens 6-7 times in a minute. It is the worst when the cruse control is on. I just had the fluid changes 15,000 km ago. Any ideas? or is the tranny on its way out. Most miles are hiway some off road and verry little towing.
