Message: I don't know if there is an aftermarket torsion bar or not, but keep this in mind: I did a 'torsion-bar-lift' on a buddy's Pathfinder with aftermarket bars and after the lift (in which we got a respectable 2")we had to install upper ball joint spacers to get the alignment back. Now, I have done 1.5" on my Dak, the ride got a lot stiffer and no alignment was needed...but I figure if I went another 1", I would have to get an alignment, and if I went higher, then I would need spacers...and I don't think anyone has made them for our trucks.

Message: I need to adjust my Torsion Bars. 1.5" more inches of lift on the front end sounds nice. Now can someone tell me how to do this?? Where are the "adjuster bolts" located at??.. and how many turns should i give them to get 1.5"???...And tell me what tools i will need.
Hopefully i wont need a Alignment
thanks

Message: One other thing to all:
Be careful while you're adjusting them. Had a 78 M body, took it to Goodyear for an alignment. It needed the ride height adjusted so I asked the alignment tech to tweak the bars. Dumb bastard used an impact, broke the bolt and brought a 4500 lb car down on my head. Good thing that knees buckle... Got even better-the manager said it wasn't on the shop order, they weren't responsible and they rolled it out into the lot and left it for dead. No more Goodyear products for me!

Message: they are the bars that come back from the front suspension and end about where the seats are so basically the middle of the cab...you should be able to tell what i am talking about
you are tighten it lol
i believe it is a 7/8 and i just did 5 complete turns on each and got 1.5 and it didnt move my alignment much at all(didnt need an adjustment actually) but always have it checked out
also if you take weight off the front of the truck it will make it easier to turn you will still want a good soild breaker bar though, i learned the hard way but lifting the whole truck with each turn, easier if the truck is lifted already
you may notice that stock and after equal turning the passenger side sits lower im pretty sure is cause they figured the person driving it would always be in the vechical so it sit level with you in it...
just my worthless body taking up space...
knobbyman you have that aim lift right? would or wouldnt recommend it? i think i read that you dont like it right???
