Drive like and shift at 2K rpms. Granted it bugs people behind you. But the power is there. You can pull 16 MPG like that.

I change gears around 2k rpms also. I hate it when people behind me get all upset b/c they think I am supposed to take off from the green light like I am John Force so when they "try" to blow by me in the other lane, I drop it down a gear or two and they still can't pass me. That makes them really mad!
