Subject: pcm IP: Logged
Message: can you swap pcm from a v6 to a v8 pcm i say know but there is people here that says it can be done so can anybody clear this up for me i would be very thankful

Message: Well... I suppose you might be able to plug it in. And it -might- run, since the 3.9L is a 5.2L with two missing cylinders. Except if you -could- get it plugged in, and you -could- get it to run, you'd run around with a MIL all the time because of the missing fuel injectors and such.
So, theoretically, it might be possible. But why would you want too? It won't work -right- most likely.

Message: i thank you for answering my ?. i have a dakota and a couple of my friends think by doing this that there v6 would run better than my 8 but also they forget i have a little money tied up into my truck engine there always trying to outrun me
