Subject: Oil change & general maintenance? IP: Logged
Message: OK, it's been about 10 years since I've owned a truck, and it wasn't a 4x4. So now I've just bought a 2002 QC 4x4 with the 4.7L auto. I've been looking under the truck to see how much would be involved with an oil change, and it seems too simple. From what I can see, the diff's have rubber plugs in the check holes and the transfer case has an allan nut. Also, there are no grease fittings anywhere. What's with that. Surely a heavy duty rig like this should have ball joints and universal joints that you can grease regularly? Am I missing anything here, or is it really this simple?

Message: Nope, its that simple. "Greased for life fittings", regular oil change and check you diff fluid.
