OK, I think it's time to get some real-life opinions on this place. As I've said on another post, this place would like you to believe that they have a TON of inventory ready for shipment, but the fact is... they're a BROKER - they stock very little, if anything at all. I've been there. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall place. The front of the store has NOTHING on display, just a desk with an uninformed receptionist. Again... like I mentioned before... I ordered a set of Taylor wires for my S-10 and asked for their street address so that I could pick them up, and they tried as hard as they could to convince me NOT to come to the "store".

I haven't had any mail-order experience with them, so I invite those of you who have to let the rest of us in on your transactions/transgressions with this business - good or bad (no fiction, please).

There are a lot of businesses like this one all over the U.S. They are basically Internet businesses. They are not set up to accept customers at their front door. They ARE brokers or dealers for the wholesale manufacturing concerns and most of them are unlikely to be able to afford a large inventory. On top of that (not Truck Performance that I have experienced but I'm sure they do it) they usually don't get their orders fulfilled by the manufacturer until they've met a certain dollar amount in merchandise because manufacturer's will forgo the shipping charges to them if they meet that amount. That's why sometimes it takes a long time to get something shipped to you. Then, there are the other times (I have experienced this with Truckperformance) where they will sell something the manufacturer has not released for sale yet. Then they hold your money for months until the item(s) are actually on the market. That's where I think their business ethics go South.

Well, my dad ordered my Gibson Catback from them (b-day) and they say it should be here 4/13/01 or so. We'll see if they come thru. So far so good though.

I ordered a set of Westin step bars for my QC and I was amazed to have them delivered THREE days later! I live in Orlando and they shipped from Tampa (90 miles away). So I cannot complain one bit. The price was $203.00 and shipping was about $30.00, which I assume wasn't bad for 60+ pounds of freight.

Yeah, but they could have told you it was coming from Tampa. It would have cost you less to go and pick them up yourself. Tampa's a stone's throw from Orlando.

I work right next to there office(2 miles away). I Don't bother ordering over the internet go straight there. They always had my inventory in stock, recieved right after I payed for it. They have a warehouse in the back. Bought MSD ignition, wires, Jet Chip, Hedders, T Stat. No problems.

My gibson cat back came in yesterday (4/10/01). It came alot faster than i thought it would. I ordered it ground shipping, and when i called they said it would be shipping out on friday (4/6/01). So i can say, for my first purchase with them, they did an excelent job. I'll probably buy from them again. At least untill they mess up my order. :)

So far, so good. I'm glad to finally be hearing GOOD reviews about this place. Maybe my initial "questionable" experience was an isolated incident. I'll be needing the Gibson soon, and since they're local to me, hopefully I can save the $hipping charges. Now, if my truck would only get here - six weeks and waiting....

Indeed. In fact, much of the reason that I factory-ordered my truck was that I've never even SEEN a Patriot CC on any dealership lot, much less one with limited-slip (or bucket seats or fender flares on a 2WD non-R/T). I wonder why so many Dakotas aren't equipped with L.S. diffs? After all.... they ARE trucks!
