Hey, having a discussion with a co-worker who stated that tri-synthetic by mobil is not true a synthetic more like a hybrid. I know you can buy hybrid synthetics but I thought mobil 1 tri-syn was the real deal. Anyone out there know?

Mobil1 uses three different synthetic basestocks in the formulation of Mobil1 and that is how they come up with the designation "Tri-Synthetic".
Most "High End" synthetic oils use more than just three synthetic basestocks in the formulation of their oil(s).
