 Subject: 5 speed problem.

Have any of you guys with the nv-3500 ever had this problem.
Your sitting at a red light your truck is in neutral, the light is going to turn green you shift into first gear. But it wont go into gear. So you place it in second gear back to first and still wont go in. Now the light turned green you throw it into second and drive off. This has happen to me afew times, I'm wondering is this kind of thing normal???

I think that has happened to me before. i just let the clutch out then try and shift into first gear. later

That's a pretty standard occurance with manual transmissions. They will do that in 1st & reverse from a total stand-still. When they do that you have to put them into 2nd, let the clutch out enough to get them to roll and then you can go back to 1st or reverse. Every manual trans vehicle I have ever had has been this way.... and I've had a bunch of them.
