Message: I'm not sure what the ecu does, but if i get a pcm will it replace the ecu? Reason why i'm asking is because i know the daks ecu have a rev limiter built in them and i'm planning on buying an msd ignition and i'm unsure which one to buy(the 6A or 6AL)???

ECU and PCM are basically the same thing (with some minor differences).
ECU = Electronic Control Unit (Basics controls plus a few specific items)
PCM = Powertrain Control Module (Everything on your vehicle)

Message: You won't need the 6AL. The PCM's in the Daks have rev limiters, even the HP PCM's have them.

Message: If you get a Mopar, one, then yes,it has a rev limiter. A jet or hypertech, just fools the PCM that's still hooked up so the rev limiter of the original PCM still governs that, I believe.
