Message: Does anybody know what parts get added for 99 CC sport+ when you get the trailering pkg? I already have a Class 4 hitch and 4pin harness that previous owner spliced into tailight harness, and the two relays in the under hood distribution centre. But the manual talks about some other connectors under hood...

Message: The tow package ('02) comes with a 7 pin connect, 7-4 adapter, reciever, and a trailer brake wiring harness.
There might be more, but that's all I know for sure.

Message: Thanks Damon, what I really want to know is what is done to activate any existing wiring or what wiring needs to be added, and where the connectors that are used to tie into existing wiring are located.

Message: You can go to a Dodge dealer and get a factory 7-pin wiring harness for your Dakota. It plugs into the light wiring harness and includes wiring for power and brakes, although it does not plug into the power distribution center. It costs about $100. The only downside is that the power and brake wires are only 14 ga wire. I would be happier with 10-12 ga for these. I also tried looking for existing wires to connect to, but didn't have any luck either.
