Message: I recently changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor on my 93 4x4 Dakota w/318. I used AC Delco plugs(The cheap ones), Borg/Warner brass cap, Borg/Warner rotor, and the highlight of the set-up, MSD 8.5 Super Conductor wires(Had to order them for a 94 Ram w/318). Before, I had on the o.e. wires, cap, and rotor and I was thinking about selling my 93 Dakota because it was such a slug. After I put on the new ignition stuff, I found out what the others on this site were talking about. My Dakota came back from the dead it seemed like. With that little tune-up, my Dakotas performance tripled!!

Message: Autolite spark plug number 3923 ($7.00), Napa brass cap and rotor p/n M029 (cap) and M026 (rotor) ($15), still have the OEM wires though. I put an 8.5mm MSD wire on my coil since I replaced the OEM coil with an Accel Super Coil.

Message: Performance tripled. HUMM. Does that mean if you ran a 16 sec. 1/4 mile before, that you now run a 48 sec 1/4 mile or a 5.3 1/4 mile now? Hehehe

Message: O.k.,o.k., ya got me Wayne. I guess I over did it a little. What I meant was that I got LIKE new performance. As far as the 1/4 mile time goes, I'd say its more like mid 18's. Hehehe!
