Message: Does anyone have a die cast model of a Gen3 Dakota?
If so, where can I get one. It's out there, I saw it somewhere on the net. I would like to add this to my already growing collection. It's a great hobby. I already have a Ram 4X4 RC two tone paint with the 8ft box and bedliner.

Message: Yeah, there's plenty of 'em on eBay. Anson has the best, they're in 1/16 scale. I bought one that I found in Patriot Blue (the same color I ordered on my truck, if it ever gets here), and from what I've seen, they're all Club cab 4x4's. Since I'm not buying a 4x4, it was instantly assaulted with a Dremel and lowered like a street truck (maybe this post should be on the "Custom Style" board). Now, if I could just find a way to eliminate the "4x4" lettering on the tailgate - damn clearcoat.....

Message: I don't trust buying things off the net(look at Jeff's post), unless it's a really good and popular store. Is there a store that would carry it, maybe I should check "Toyz R Us" you never know.

Message: Thanks JustRed,
I bought mine about a month ago for $35.00 (cdn).
The only colours I've found were black, red, yellow and dark blue. I bought black. I've been looking for an Intense Blue Dakota I've found one online, but it's in the states. I'm going to paint the black Dakota Intense Blue, a nice little project for the weekend.
For those who want to see a rare intense blue kota, here's the link.

Message: I bought one of the Dark Blue Anson models off of Ebay a few months ago too...
Etoybugs was the seller and their service was superb... I got the model for about $22 plus $8 shipping. It looks just like my CC 4x4 Dak... I was very impressed. So much so that I had to put it up on my big screen TV in my living room.
Everyone who sees it goes..."wow" a "mini-me" of your truck. :)

Message: One more thing, if you happen to live near a Menard's check them out. The ones by me carry both Anson and Maisto models in various scales. For some reason, all I seem to find are Durango models, the Dakotas must be snapped up the minute they hit the shelves (LOL). It's possible that different stores have different selections.
Menard's for the uninitiated is a Midwest version of Home Depot. Slightly smaller, but I tend to find what I need there quicker than at HD.

Message: The funniest thing is this: I was browsing through Toys R Us tonight with my fiance, in-search of a gift for her little nephew. I started looking at the models. They had a Durango and a die-cast of a 2000 Yellow R/T. It was a very life-like model -- the hood, doors and tailgate opened up. It cost $15.99 -- I wanted it, but didn't feel like using my credit card and I had no cash.
The other thing that kept me away was that it was an R/T and they screwed up on the wheels. They had the wheels of a 4x4 or 4x2 sport or SLT on them (as opposed to the R/T wheels of course) -- then again, maybe the "R/T Wheels" are something that was new for 2001, I don't have much experience 'pre-2001' being that that is when I "got into" the Dakota.

I know that there is a line of Boyd die-cast models... I would just love to get some little Boyd Smoothies for my mini-dak.
