All right, I have read through the old posts about putting a V8 throttle body on my 3.9. I am almost ready to buy one, but I had a couple of questions.
Is the 48mm the one I want to go with?
Should I buy the kit from speedtweaks that comes with the cable (factory TB) for 200 bucks? That seems kind of steep, but I wasn't sure if anybody else had bought it.
If you have just bought the TB where did you get the correct cable and how tough was the entire installation (TB and cable).

I haven't got mine yet, but I just ordered mine from www.car-part.com. They list salvage yards that sell used/new parts. $45 for a 5.9. You can get the cable from your local dealer for around $22. You will also need a new gasket, $.99 from Autozone. I've seen a couple of other posts in here from people who have done this.

Yeah, I saw your post on the V6 page Brian. I was just curious as to whether the speedtweaks kit was any better. Thanks for the tip though, that may be where I end up.

Hey Bill i put a stock 5.9 TB on mine. it works fine. I got it from Sam at www.socaldakota.com. If you want i could get in contact with him and see what we could come up with. He also has the 48mm ones with the v6 cable part. (i dont know what it called) Let me know ill talk to him. he live like 20 min fomr my house.

Thanks for the info Eddie. Is your 5.9TB a 48mm? If not, what size is it? Probably won't buy anything yet until I get my next paycheck and get a couple of bills paid. Thanks!
