Subject: What Guages to Add?? IP: Logged
Message: I'm thinking of putting a 2 or 3 guage pod in my 01 CC 4.7/5SPD DAK SLT+. Anybody have any suggestions on what guages to install? Also any info on where to put the sensors, and related problems etc. would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Message: If it were my ride, I would add a trans temp gauge. These newer electronic transmissions seem to be having a lot of isues. Keeping an eye on the fluid temp is a step in the right direction for extending the trans life.

Message: Boost, Vaccum, Fuel Pressure, Fuel Ratio and EGT are all good choices. AN ampmeter is much more useful then voltage meter. Your truck already has a volt meter built in. Oil and tranny temp sensors can also be useful.

Message: Hey cerecke, is your vacuum gauge mechanical or electrical? Where did you run it through the firewall? I just ordered a mechanical vac/boost gauge from autometer and I'm curious. Thanks.

Message: its a mechanical, ran the hose thru the firewall, went to ace hardware and bought some more tubing, 1/4 then got a brass adapter to fit the two together, and ran the 1/4 inch line to the manifold, I took off a rubber cap on one of the open manifold fittings under the throttle body on the drivers side.....works good
