 Subject: striping and polishing wheels

Has any one ever striped amd polished their wheels. I am thinking about doing this but have never done it before. I had a guy tell me to use easy off oven cleaner to strip off the finish and start buffing. If any one has done this or knows someone who has done it. Their Knowledge and advise would be great. before I start this project. I Know it is a tedious job but I'm Willing to try it.

I've done this while restoring my VW Bug. It is hard work and takes forever. I feel its worth it, if done right. The only problem I had is the wheels dont stay polished. They get cloudy after a while. Then your back to polishing again. Its alot easier to have your wheels chromed. Thats what I ended up doing after 6 months.
