Message: Just removed my bedliner the other day to clean under it and realized the stake pockets don't have openings...what gives? Duh, yeah I know, I'm just learning this. Are you supposed to cut your own openings or are the stake pockets just for show?

Message: I have a GenII which has stake pockets but I heard from another GenIII owner that GenIII's dont' have them. Check out websites that sell things for GenIII Daks and see if any of the trucks in the pics have pockets.

Message: I read an article once that sade Dodge saved X number of dollars by not have to make the stake pocket. Most people don't use them or cover them anyway.

Message: You don't have stake pockets but from what I've seen you should have some utility loops or something of the sort in the bed on the bed floor or pretty darn close to it. These are in my opinion, after loading both a genII and GenIII are more usefull that stake pockets.

Message: I have the loops at the back of the truck (I miss them in all 4 corners like on my old NISSAN) and no stake pockets (thank Alah or somebody). On one of them Larger Land Yachts like the RAM my brother Inlaw has thats cool (cause I will not own one). It needs something to hook to to pull it out of the cow dung in the pasture. A sport truck doesn't need them.
