Well i am glad we can post again even tho we arent members.. i didnt think it was all totally fair to ban everyone.. seeing as alot of us who arent members dont cause crap like the others who ruined it for all of us.. just like to say good thing we can post again.. and hopefully we didnt lose alot of posters due to the lack of matureity from some ppl..

Although I would've rather not had a member-only session, I can't complain. A side effect of probably about 40 new members doesn't hurt anything either.
And I wouldn't call it being "banned".

im glad i can now post on this site again. ive been looking at the other dakota sites lately and none are as good as this one. i think people should have to register to post on this site w/ a valid email address and user name. that would eliminate most of the problems.

people can say what they will about freeloaders but you know what, the more people you have posting here, the better this site is.
When doing info transfers, having a broad base to ask is always better than a narrow few. Im glad to be posting again too. Its to the sites benefit to have all of us. Even if there are a few stupid turds out there messen around. Later guys.

Guys, I don't think there was ever any concern about people "freeloading." I agree - more people means more diversity of information. I think Mark's dilemma was trying to prevent the garbage and crap from being posted, and still maintain the broad base of visitors- not easy. I think registration is a great idea. The other boards that I visit require registration, and it seems to work for them.

i would register in a minute.. become a member as well but there is only one method of payment and that option is not in my books right now.. soooo untill i can either come up with a way to pay or there is more methods to pay.. then ima be a free loader..lol

I don't have paypal or credit cards... I sent Mark a money order. I'm not saying that to be a smartas$ or to rub it in or anything - I like this site with lots of visitors. I just hate it when the gross posts happen.

I'm glad to be back too, although I do more lurking and researching than posting. I would register but I feel $30 is too steep, especially when it's the sharing of information that is the product you're after. I can understand Mark wanting to make a profit from his administration of the site but $30/person? Must be from the school of Bill Gates!
I do, however, truly appreciate Mark's efforts especially in locking down the site for a few days to eliminate the hackers.

There is no profit from this site. The $30 goes towards bandwidth and equipment. I'm still in the hole many thousand dollars for this site. Not to mention countless hours working on it.
