Subject: NV3500 or NV3500HD IP: Logged
Message: On a 1995 Dakota, 318, 5 speed, 2wd, would it have a NV3500 or NV3500HD?
Also, what if anything could be done to an NV3500 or NV3500HD to make it handle more power, like a 408 stroker. Obviously, you can upgrade the clutch. I know that would help. What about the guts in the transmission? Has anyone done this?

Message: i dont think you can do anything to the tranny. you would be better off just trashing the origonal unit, and replacing it with something stronger.
-Eric Injection is nice, but i'd rather be blown. 5.2L, 5speed. Powerdyne SC, 50mm TB, 2bbl M-1, 1.7RR's, MSD 6BTM, ciramic JBA headers, carsound cat, dumped gibson

Message: dont know, but a viper 6 speed would be nice ;-) it could handle the torque quite nicely
