Well, I picked up the New navy newspaper called "The Flagship" today, and in the "Marketplace" section on the cover it has a big picture of the beautiful Dodge Magnum HEMI 5.7L V8 with the heading "Resurrecting a legendary MOPAR Beast!". The article goes on to say that the Engine will hit the roads this month inside the 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 and the 3500 pickups. It also says "The PT Cruiser is just one of many vehicles that may get a version of the HEMI engine." One of the other vehicles Chrysler is working on is the Rear wheel drive 300 Hemi C Convertible. The article also states that the HEMI 5.7L churns out 345 HP and 375 TQ, providing best-in-class power and towing capacity.
Hmmm.... I hope the Dakota is one of the "many vehicles" to get the HEMI engine. Id be kind of pissed if the PT got it over the Dak.

I started to laugh at the Idea of a PT Hemi, but I think their referring to the design of the motor, maybe they'll make it a 4 cyl Hemi. But that's just a guess, I could be completely wrong.
I love my truck, but if they decide to put the Hemi in the Dakota, even if it's only for a year or two, before the design change, I'll trade mine in, in a heartbeat.

I saw that Hemi C roadster in person at Carlisle last year. If they were to replace the dak with the M80 and introduced the coup I know which one i'd pick.
