I am just doing some research. A colleague and I are starting up our own metal fab shop here in Reno, NV (to serve all of northern nevada, and possibly some sac customers as well). We have many years of combined welding experience as well as engineering degrees. I was curious what you guys would look for in a good quality shop (which is sorely lacking here). Inventory, experience, good portfolio, service, risk taking (straying away from the bolt on stuff and doing some down and dirty metal fabrication) Just looking for some feedback on what you guys look for in a shop.
