Subject: Who is the tire expert??? IP: Logged
Message: I have a lowered (3f/4r) 98 CC V6. I currentlu have on 255/65R16 General tires. Well, they rub up front. I had to temporarily put my stock 15 inch tires and wheels back on. I need to know if anyone knows of a good tire size that I can use on my 16 inch wheels? I know 16 inch is an odd size, and hindsight is I should have got 17 inch. I can not stand to see a truck with tires that look like they belong on a Honda, or the wagon wheel looking rims that have become so stupidly popular. Goodyear was trying to sell me a 255/50R16 Yokohama that looked ok. Does anyone have any input or suggestions?
Thanks

Message: I'm definetly not the tire expert, but i know how to pick out smaller tires.
Do they rub up top, or on the sides on a sharp turn? If they rub up top find out the overall heigth of your old stock 15 rims and tires (which hopefully don't rub), and get a tire width of similiar total height. If it rubs on the sides just look for a smaller first ratio 315 being big, 235 being small.
