Message: OK, time for a really silly question....
Has anyone ever used that "chrome" spray paint?
I have about a 6" long spot on my rear bumper where the chrome flaked off. Guess it was a defect. It finally seems to have gone as far as it's going to go. The spot really bugs me, but I hate to spend the money for a new bumper right now. Was thinking about masking the area off and trying that chrome paint to see if it would make it look a little better, but having never used the stuff.... I can't imagine it really having a chrome like finish.

Message: I've used chrome spray paint years ago. The finish is VERY matte. more like a brushed aluminum look (nowhere close to being smooth and shiny). Do you have a small piece of scrap metal. Take that with you to the auto store or where ever you are going to buy the paint. Take the can and just spritz it. that will at least give you an idea whether or not it will at least blend decently.

Message: If all else fails put you a 'McGovern for President' Sticker on it. Most Crome shops will doo bumpers for about $100. Check it out.
