Got my truck back from having new brakes installed and found I had a stripped disc brake mounting pin. Does anyone know if there is a repair kit or helicoil repair? I think it is 9mm coarse thread. Does anyone know?

If the pin is stripped than buy a new pin. the pin should be softer than the spindle mount threads. You wont need a heli coil repair,

I have a 99 Dakota Sport 3.9 V6 auto. Going to go to the dealer tomorrow for the stripped mounting pin hole. Can't find any information on the size of hole or if there is a helicoil kit to repair it. Dealer said he could fix it. Hope he didn't mean a new spindle.

I have the same problem on 95 4x4 5.2L club cab. My truck came with a heli coil repair it lasted 1 year~30,000 miles with me. I don't how long it was there before. I think if the spindle is worn where the pads slide it might creat this problem. My truck is in the shop also. How'd things turnout at the dealership?

DOH! My spindle hole was stripped. Fixed it with M9x1.25 heli coil kit, manufacture # 5546-9
