Subject: Clear corners = Help IP: Logged
Message: Ok I just got my clear corners and I put a bead of clear windshield silicone along where the lens and the plastic base meet, to keep water out
then I was told to put high temp silver paint on the outer half of the bulbs, this keeps the amber color down during the day, but since only half of the bulb is showing it still lights up orange to keep the cops happy.
My question is I bought this Dupli-color brand, engine enamel, and within 30 seconds the paints boiling off. has anyone done this silver paint trick?
2THEXTRM, what paint did you use?
The label says 5 days to cure, but it was dry in like an hour. I hate to sound like a blonde, but is that my problem?

Message: Hey Clevite 77 I know you're not to bright based on your other threads but, have you checked your state laws? Most allow anything from white to amber. Just use a white bulb!

Message: Clevite 77, I was going to suggest the same thing. When I did mine I just kept the stock bulbs in place. In my opinion, I think they look better at night that way.

Message: I have seen amber L.E.Ds made for clear corners. I saw them at Auto zone. They are clear , but light up amber. I don't have a part number , but you can look into that. When I get my clear corners , thats the way I'm gonna go.
Good Luck.

Message: Thanks everyone for your help and not turning this into a frigen war. I think I'm going to go the LED route, I see jamstrait has an inline resister, but how does it hook up, are there any other options for resisting the power to the signals?
thanks again, and I'll have pics as soon as I can.

Message: I've got a link on my site to a website which has a list of every state's traffic laws. You'll have to do a bit of navigating but it should point out whether the clear bulbs are legal where you are.
