ok im sick of these factory plastic fog lights. every time i get them fixed they end up cracking and then filling up with water when it rains. Has anyone replaced these with aftermarket fog lights and were able to mount em in the stock location? if so please let me know what ones u got and how u mounted em.

I didn't have the facotry fogs, but I cut out the plastic inserts out of the bumper and put in a set of Pilot Fog lights. They have worked very well for me. I had to get creative with the mounting and use an electrical box support to hang them from the frame, but it works very well. YOu can see pics of them on my webpage.

Just got mine on today. I used all the factory wireing from mine, and had to make a few mods to the stock brackets but they look good so far. I have yet to see em at night.

Good choice Brian. I haven't regretted getting them at all. I did have to replace one of the bulbs about a month after I got it, but that was 8 months ago and no problems ever since.

Mike, the hole is 4 inches in diameter. The Pilot fogs are that exact size.

I love my Dakota too. Having the budget only really means that any mods that i want will just take a little longer. I bought mine about 10 months ago and havent really done anything to it. But i have a plan for lift and tires sooner then later :)
