Is the following a electrical problem or is it suppose to be this way? If I turn the headlights off after turning the engine off they do not turn off! To get them off I must turn the headlight back on then off. then they will go off.

It's called headlight delay and is normal. If you notice the parking lights and rear lights and interior lights go off when you turn the switch but the front two stay on for...I think... 30 seconds. All new daks do it.

Turn the headlights off before you shut off the truck and they will not stay on... They only stay on for awhile if you turn the truck off first.

I just bought a 01 Quad Sport 4.7L today and had the same problem. I went to exstatic to almost sick thinking my almost (its not a new 04 but close with only 22400 miles) dream truck had puter or electrical problems. Thanks to you guys and this board I found that this is normal within 5 min on my puter
