Subject: 4.7 HO cam and intake manifold
IP: Logged

Message:
I want to purchase the H.O. cam(s) for my 4.7.
My questions:

1. Is the H.O. intake manifold required when installing the cam? or can the cam stand alone with the stock manifold?

2. Can you get good low-end torque with just the cam(s)?

3. Any other engine modifications needed that absolutely have to be there (rockers or whatever) to handle the increased Hp and Torque from the new modification.

4. And off the subject (i think). I have read numerous posts and can understand most of the acronyms, but I can't figure out what "WOT" stands for (without torque? i not know). Anybody know?

Thanks and Mopar2ya,

2000 4.7 auto CC 3.92 lsd, Mike Leach flash, 2 chambered flowmaster, K$N drop-in, Mobil 1 synthetic oil.

WOT = Wide Open Throttle

As far as your other Q's: check the posts under the 'Performance' and 'V8' boards for more info...there's a ton of posts on the cams and manifold

1. No (HO manifold not required)
2. Yes
3. No
