Message: I have a 2000 CC 2WD with stock 15" rims with
P215/75R15 tires. They will be needing replacement in about 1 month.
I am wanting to go a little larger to fill the wheel well better.
I was told that the other size recommended by Dodge is P235/75R15.
Does anyone know if this rim is the one that will accept this size tire?
Also, I dont do any offroad driving but I do pull a travel trailer. Should I stay with the P-series or go to LT-series.
Is there a big difference in the feel on the road between the two types?
Thanks

Message: I replaced my stock p-215 tires with p-255/70r15's
with raised white letters. they look 100% better and handle better also. and they fit perfectly on the stock rims.

Message: Thanks, I am interested in those 255's.
I wrote somewhere else as well and look at this reply:
I have done this on some of my vehicles -- and for the same reason as you: I just like the look of bigger tires in the wheel wells. I know of two potential issues:
1) Your speedometer will read a little "low" relative to your actual speed due to the fact that the new tires will be a little taller than the originals.
2) If you have ABS, it may not work with the larger tires.
HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF HIS NUMBER 2 ANSWER?
