Subject: IAT technical question { electronic's
IP: Logged

Message:
I had an idea running through my head the other day and I think it might be something...just rambling,......

I was thinking on how IAT works. Thermal Resistance right??? Higher the temp the high the resistance and the less electrical current get to the computer and the opposet way for cool air.

I was thinking, i about electronic's {took a 4 year class at my high school for it} and I was thinking ...of putting and Rheostat like 5K Ohm or so { or figure out the Resistance of the IAT} and put it on and have it so you could manually Adjust the sensor for hot days and cold days.....

Anyone Wanna help me out or is everyone confused??

Isn't that what the IAT adjuster form speedtweaks does. I'm I missing something here?

I've got an extra one, sell for $25.

I think the pic is on their website. comes with the box, instructions, connectors, etc.

The one for sale is an extra I have.

I think theirs is now at least $30, and were on backorder.

They quit making the IAT adjuster. The IAT works so that the hotter it gets the less resistance cooler more resistance. Backwards I know but that is how it is. Adding a inline resistor will only make them resgister hotter.
