I have tried to search is someone had already asked this question, but I was unable to find it.

My '93 318's Radiator busted - guess it was just old. I changed it out, but while I was changing the T-Stat I heard a lot of clicking in the electronic box (where the relays area)... Yes, stupid my had the key on and was listening to the radio while working on the truck... anyway... New radiator is in, truck won't start. I am running out of ideas.

Turn Key to Start... Starter Tries.
I am sure the starter is doing it's job, hear the engine cranking, and the dipstick shows oil has moved.
Ok, I ruled out the starter... hmm... now what Fuel or Spark...
Found that there is nothing going from the ignition coil to the distributor cap... Took the ignition coil to Autozone for them to test it, they told me that it was not within the normal range (it was VERY close), but I shelled out the money for a new ignition coil. Still no spark.
I put a volt meter to the plugs leading into the ignition coil, and I get nothing with the key in any position.

One thing that was interesting is that I followed the instructions I had read about reseting the PCM, and when I tried to start it after that, the clicking restarted in the electronics box, and I saw smoke (like a short) from the wiring below the box, however since that one occasion I was unable to reproduce the clicking nor the smoke.

Thank you in advance for the help.

The wiring splice next to the fuse box is notorious for problems. Water has a habit of running there and it eats at all the wires insulation. Did you happen to splash some coolent up there?

Disconnect the battery and start unwrapping where the two wire bundles come together right next to the fuse box. Look for any signs of corroded insulation.
