Your running a 3.55 in the back with a V8 really how big of competition do you think taht is to a V6 4.0 L ranger with a 4.10? You really make me mad. Your truck would never ever even keep up with a stock f-150. So u should probly just sell your truck and and quit life cause your car is not cool or fast so just stop. WAY TO GOFORD. Was that cool?are you 5?

In defense of FORD. Looking at the link to that truck it looks like ALL AFtermarket by some company called SLP or some sh*t like that.
I don't think FORD would make a truck that ugly.
But to that guy who brought up the old a$$ post, dude you better fear the Dodge 4.7
Mine is a QC 4X4 with 3.55's and I wouldn't back down to a 4.0 much less the X-Tremes I've made mad when I whooped them a$$es with my MUCH heavier truck!
In a few months you will no longer be able to make fun of me for 3.55's. They are going bye-bye for some 4.10's.

graphite dakota your pretty dumb, an xtreme is a peice of junk which is no different except it has a body kit and unless u know of body kits that add horsepower your wrong and you shouldnt be proud of your v8 truck being able to beat a 6 cyclinder. And how about you buy a real truck and then race my lightning instead of dumping money into your peice of 4 door crap. You saying you wont back down to a 4.0 ranger isnt something you should think you are cool for if your driving a truck with a modified 8 cyclinder. the day you figure out what you are talking about and start racing cars taht actualy compare to yours like maybe an f-150 with an 8 or some other truck with an 8 stop thinking your truck is fast becuase its not. your truck is a joke it probly runs high 17's and you know what the sad thing is that i have a truck faster than you could ever make yours and im only 17.

Calm down, realize that I wouldn't have even posted this if it was true. And continues to be true even to this day. I've smoked every stock Ranger 4.0 with my stock 4.7, no problems. I have 8 different kills under my belt. I'm not trying to burst your bubble either, but i have smoked 5.4 F-150's without a problem either. Now your lightning is a respectable truck, and is certainly a feather in the cap of fords, and I have been soundly defeated by each and every one of the lightnings that i have picked on. But should I choose to supercharge my truck, the scales may tip. I'm not sure how you stumbled onto this old post, but understand that it is still true to this day. And I'm not sure where you get such animosity, but you certainly could use to settle down a bit.
4.7 Dakota beats 4.0 ranger every time, just hard facts here.
Sorry if it bothers you, maybe you should visit your friendly local dodge dealership?
